Hostel

There are a number of hostels (Youth Hostel and Backpacker hostels) in the city centre if you want to be more independent and do your own cooking.

New Horizon can book hostel accommodation but students will be responsible for themselves.  A credit card is needed to make a booking in advance.

Flats

These will be advertised in local publications. New Horizon does not arrange flats, although a few homestays have a small self-contained flat also available.

Hotels

This is room rental only, with tea and coffee-making facilities.

Motels

These are self-contained, with bathroom and kitchen. You can have single or double rooms and 1-3 bedrooms per unit.

Bed and Breakfast

Guests have use of a bedroom and bathroom, sometimes also a private sitting room, with breakfast provided.

Please note that rates change significantly between peak and non-peak times. Summer rates (October – March) are most expensive, while many providers will give special deals in winter (May – August). Many places are booked up to a year in advance, especially in February, for festivals like Art Deco Weekend and events such as the Mission Estate Winery Concert.
